Fox brothers Jason and Ryan excelling on the tennis court

JASON Fox last week won his division in the districts finals at the Saint Andrew’s School tennis courts in Boca Raton, Florida.

He is part of the Varsity tennis team at the school and has been attending the tennis academy for two years.

The districts high school tennis tournament is held every year and pits the top players from all the local schools.

In addition, Jason has been training at the world famous “ Pro World” tennis academy in Delray Beach after school, and he has been having success playing the USTA Junior circuit in Florida, making it to the consolation finals of the “Fountains Country Club Junior Championships” in Lake Worth Florida where he lost to the No. 6 seed Tony Yuanaki, 6-2, 7-6.

Jason, 16, recently returned to Nassau at Easter to play in the RBC Junior National Tennis tournament in the 18-and-under boys’ division and made it to the finals, losing to the winner Donte Armbrister, 6-0, 6-0.

Jason is continuing his training and hopes to start playing on the international stage starting this summer at  the ITF Copa Horizontes Amistad in Havana, Cuba, followed by the Junkanoo Bowl in Nassau.

His brother, 12-year-old Ryan Fox, is attending “ Pro World” tennis academy and his main focus is tennis and he may some day make the Bahamas Davis Cup team if he continues to excel like he is doing.
