Baptist Sports Council kicks off its 2016 Basketball Classic

THE Baptist Sports Council kicked off its 2016 Basketball Classic at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex on Saturday.

Summaries of games

played are as follows:

Macedonia 27, Eagles Nest 13: Andrew Sthilaice scored six points and Donald Hanna had five as Macedonia won their 15-and-under opener. Terelle Bridgewater had a game high eight in the loss.

Good Samaritan 28, Macedonia 24: Christopher Johnson pumped in a game high 11 points and Lavanti Roberts added eight in Good Samaritan’s 19-and-under opening win. Prince Dill scored eight and Kendrick Chaarlton had six in a losing effort.

Cousin McPhee 37, Eagles Nest 29: Jamal Simeon had a game high 11 points and Frantwon Watson added nine as Cousin McPhee won their 19-and-under opener. Recarno Nixon Jr had 10 and DeShone Murray added five in the loss.

Eagles Nest 34, God’s Squad 27: Kendrick Fernander Jr canned a game high 12 points and Akeem Walkes added eight in the men’s opening win for Eagles Nest. Barry Stuart scored 11 and Denzil Barr had eight in the loss.

Macedonia 40, Golden Gates 30: Patrick Brice knocked down a game high 14 points and Delano Knowles poured in 10 points as Macedonia won their men’s opener. Dwayne Murray scored nine and both Steven Culmer and Bradley Cash had six.

Macedonia 39, Evangelistic Temple 30: Delano Knowles came back and increased his outpour to a game high 16 and Patrick Brice contributed 11 in Macedonia’s second men’s win. Leslie Dorceval paced the losers with a game high 15 and Richard Clarke added seven.
