BASEBALL

MARIO FORD CAMP

THE Mario Ford Baseball programme got started on Saturday and is scheduled to continue until June 11. The programme is for boys and girls aged five to 15 years, teaching basic baseball fundamentals. The programme is held every Saturday, from 9am to noon, at Windsor Park, East Street and Wulff Road. For  more information, you can contact Mario Ford at 556-0993. Registration is ongoing.

BOWLING

CITY LEAGUE

THE most valuable player (MVP) in City Bowling League competition last night was Raymond Adderley of Carib Construction with a 633 high three game set. The runner-up was Sonith Lockhart, also of Carib Construction, with a 257 high game and a 584 second high set.

Dave Taylor, of the Fresh Blend Rolling Stones, downed the pins for the second high game of 232.      

The leader in the ladies’ category was Joanne Powell of Bahamasair Flyers with a 222 high game and a 598 high three game set. Powell was followed by Tara Culmer of Island Game Strokers with a respectable 550 second high set.

Joy Lockhart of Coca Cola Avengers toppled the pins for a 209 high game of the evening.
