POLICE in Grand Bahama are investigating the murder early on Tuesday of a 46-year-old man of Drake Avenue, Freeport, and have a man in custody in connection with the incident.
According to reports, shortly after 3am, police were called to an apartment complex on Drake Avenue where they discovered a man lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds to the body. EMS personnel were called to the scene and reported no signs of life.
A short time later officers arrested a 45-year-old man of Drake Avenue who is assisting police with their investigation.
The month of July passed without a homicide in the Bahamas. Tuesday's murder takes the total for 2016 to 63 according to The Tribune's records.
