The Sandals mess and the oblivious impotency of the Minister and the Director of Labour has an employer simply putting in the face of Law and no one seems to care.

Redundant on Wednesday the job suddenly gone, miraculously by the following Monday five days later is now not redundant!

Sandals let go 600 persons - I presume paid redundancy pay say with years of service maybe an average of $6-8,000, average, so Sandals paid out in this exercise some $4-5 million probably more.

When they reopen how much will they save?

Almost the next morning after the redundancy notices are issued they run a full page advertisement announcing a Job Fair.

Shocked that an Anglican Parish would take rental money for their hall in this exercise.....does the Anglican Bishop endorse and support what the management of Sandals did or seems to have done?

Sandals I suggest needs to do some PR - is as the employees say Sandals Balmoral is the best resort of the chain? Or as a caller, Jamaican, to a Talk Show indicated that the Sandals Balmoral operates on a higher wage scale than any other of their resorts?

Some say there was a high level of employee stealing?

Some say the attitude and work ethic of the employees was exceptionally bad and was hurting the resorts operation? Respond.

The precedence of what has occurred with the sanction of the Government is frightening to the hard working employee---I have worked security today and bush crack gone a day later. What do I tell my mortgage bank?

Everyone knew three-four weeks ago that the resort was closing seemingly except those who were supposed to know - the Minister and Director of Labour.
