A 37-year-old man was charged with rape in the Freeport Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Romeo Major, of Balao Road, appeared in Court Three before Magistrate Rengin Johnson. The rape is alleged to have occurred on November 25.
He was not required to enter a plea to the charge and the case was adjourned to March 2017 for a preliminary inquiry.
In the meantime, Major was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services in New Providence.
