Receivers are all that matter

EDITOR, The Tribune.

“IZMIRLIAN seeks Baha  Mar talks” by Ms Khrisna Virgil seems to miss that there is a court appointed receiver totally, 100 per cent in charge of Baha Mar.

It is totally useless speaking to the Prime Minister or to anyone else other than the Supreme Court Receivers - Deloitte.

It is ironic that you should publish this on an article by Neil Hartnell which commented on the position of Scotia Bank and their relationship with Baha Mar from when Izmirlian acquired the property from Ruffin and Hotel Corp...

Not a prize experience seeing that the initial financing Mr lzmirlian almost lost the property, saved by his deal with Harrah’s to only be challenged further down the road by Harrah’s on the question whether he could raise the “development finance” - we all now know he couldn’t and even after litigation against Harrah’s in New York, Izmirlian lost again.

Editor surely it is time all understand - the sole persons who can make any decisions are the Joint Receivers appointed by the Supreme Court, Justice Winder no Cabinet Minister or even a Prime Minister.

Convention Centre it is well known that this area was completed and used for private and public functions.

All this PR fuss over the IDB Convention - surely Atlantis Convention Centre can accommodate that convention and mentioning Baha Mar is totally a political PR issue and nothing more.
