NPBA: Cybots holf off Caribs 84-81, Athletico tops the Legends 104-95

THE New Providence Basketball Association (NPBA) continued its regular season at the AF Adderley Gym Wednesday night. The Mail Boat Cybots and Athletico Bahamas earned wins in the double header.

While the Cybots held off the College of the Bahamas Caribs 84-81, Athletico outlasted Everybody Wins Legends 104-95.

Caribs 81

Eugene Bain canned a jumper with 54 seconds left to put the Real Deal up for good (84-81) as they held on for the win.

Bain, playing 38 minutes and 18 seconds, finished with a game high 38 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Cybots. Livingstone Munnings had 10 points and 10 rebounds and both Delvone Duncombe and Cordero Pinder had seven points apiece to help out. Lerecus Armbrister had six points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals.

In a losing effort, Kemsy Sylvestre came off the bench and in 31:13 minutes led COB with 21 points, six rebounds and three assists. Justin Smith had 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists, Ramon Dames had nine points and Franklyn McKenzie added six points.

Athletico Bahamas 104,

Everybody Wins 95

Dylan McKenzie scored a game high 37 points with eight rebounds and five assists in 37 minutes to lead the winners.

Jeron Smith had 20 points, four assists and three rebounds, Shakwon Lewis came off the bench with 17 points, eight assists and four rebounds and Cameron Adderley added 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Clayton ‘Smiley’ Miller lit up the nets for 26 points, five assists and four rebounds to pace the losers. Corey Walkes had 23 points and 10 rebounds and Lorenzo Carter finished with 22 points.

The league is slated to be back in action tonight - the Real Deal Shockers face the Island Game Pros.
