Man shot multiple times

A MAN is in hospital after he was shot multiple times early Tuesday morning.

According to police, shortly after midnight, officers received a report of a shooting incident on Baillou Hill Road near Independence Highway.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was rushed to hospital where he remains in serious condition.

Police are searching for two men who were seen in a black Honda Civic in connection with this incident.

Police also seized $52,000 worth of marijuana from a home in Pinewood Gardens late Monday night.

According to police, around 9.30pm, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team conducted a search of a home on Sequoia Street, Pinewood Gardens, where they uncovered a large amount of marijuana.

A male resident of the home is being sought in connection with this discovery.

Investigations into both matters continue.
