Were hecklers hired for meeting?

EDITOR, The Tribune.

According to The Nassau Guardian, between eight to 10 young men disrupted an FNM Torchbearers nomination meeting on Wednesday night.

They became such a nuisance that the police were called in to diffuse the matter which got out of hand, as the hecklers became too rambunctious and unrestrained.

I don’t have a penchant for conspiracy theories.

However, the timing of this fracas is suspicious. I am having grave difficulty in believing that what had transpired was impromptu or extempore.

With FNM Leader Dr Hubert Minnis and FNM Chair Michael Pintard both facing a massive tidal wave of opposition from powerful forces, it is somewhat uncanny that this incident has occurred at this particular juncture. Based on all that has transpired in recent months, one wonders if this incident was orchestrated to make Minnis and the FNM look bad. One wonders if this incident was designed to make the FNM look like a party in complete disarray. It is too much of a coincidence.

Of all the places in New Providence, why would these hecklers chose to make the FNM headquarters on this particular night their hub-hub? Most of these thugs nowadays have very little interest in politics, which makes this affray all the more suspicious. According to South Beach FNM candidate Howard Johnson, the hecklers aren’t even FNMs.

Again, what could have possibly piqued the interest of these nuisance makers for a meeting of a political organisation to which they are not even nominally affiliated with? Granted, this is just a conjecture based on my intuitive feelings. I hope I am wrong.

They were called 'murmurers' during Medieval times, hired disruptors. They're a dime a dozen and in America of late they're all over the place, like dog doot.

In absence of facts, it's always good to assume the worst, and as crime reporter and novelist Edna Buchanan counsels us to never be afraid, when evaluating crime syndicates, to 'think dirty, think very dirty'.

Assume the worst, and you'll still probably be understating matters. See one black widow, there's usually a nest of them nearby.
