POLICE are on the hunt for a motorist who “ran over” a man on a motorcycle and “left him for dead”.
According to police, shortly after midnight on Christmas Eve, a traffic accident occurred on Spikenard Road involving a 2006 Honda motorcycle occupied by an adult male and a dark coloured sports utility vehicle (SUV).
Police are unsure of the circumstances surrounding the accident, but said the driver of the SUV failed to remain on the scene after hitting the motorcyclist.
The victim was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries shortly after 5pm on Friday, January 1.
