POLICE are on the hunt for the occupants of a gold Honda Accord who shot a man early on Thursday morning in front of his home in Yellow Elder Gardens.

According to reports, the man was sitting in front of his Lightbourne Street home around 9am when a gold coloured hatchback Honda Accord approached and the occupants shot him multiple times before speeding off.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he is listed in serious but stable condition. Investigations continue.

Police are also asking for the public’s help in locating a number of suspects responsible for several armed robberies that occurred over the past 24 hours.

Shortly after 3am on Thursday, five men with firearms broke into a home at Allen's Terrace, where they held up three people and robbed them of three televisions, a DVD player, an iPad and cash before fleeing on foot.

An adult male is being questioned in connection with the incident.

Shortly after 1pm, a woman walking from a business establishment in the Prince Charles Shopping Centre, Prince Charles Drive, was approached by a man with a handgun who robbed her of her handbag containing cash before fleeing in a white Toyota Tercel.

Shortly before midnight, a man was putting gasoline in his vehicle parked on Coral Harbour main road, when two men in a burgundy Honda Civic with a handgun approached and robbed him of a cell phone and an iPad before speeding off.

Just after midnight on Friday, a man pulled up in his vehicle to an ATM at a bank on Marathon Road, when a lone gunman approached and robbed him of cash before fleeing on foot.

Police are actively investigating all of these incidents.

The cops may be better off catching these guys if they fake having car trouble and wait for these criminals to come and hold them up. OR let undercover female cops walk around with a handbag and cell phone and wait to be robbed.

It seems like all an undercover cop needs to do is walk on the side of the road, almost anywhere in New Providence, and it will only be a matter of time before someone toting a gun pulls over in Honda and attempts to steal their purse and cell phone. To catch a rat all you need is some bait and a trap!
