A $280,000 condominium in the new Venetian West community - the grand prize in a three-month promotion run by BTC, Island Luck and Brickell Management - has been won by Lady Rowena Finlayson, wife of businessman Sir Garet ‘Tiger’ Finlayson.

Lady Finlayson held the winning key to the door of a fully furnished two-bedroom building near Old Fort Bay, western New Providence, at the draw for the prize, the climax of BTC’s text-to-win and Christmas promotions, at the Venetian West Club House on Saturday during an evening of music and entertainment hosted by Sebas Bastian, CEO of Island Luck and Developer of Brickell Management Group, and Leon Williams, CEO of BTC.

Lady Finlayson, a mother of five and a retired businesswoman and hotelier originally from Andros, said that this was her first time playing one of BTC’s Text 2 Win promotions. She said she is a big fan of game shows like ‘Jeopardy’ and ‘Wheel of Fortune’ and thinks her love of trivia gave her a competitive edge as customers were asked to answer questions correctly to be entered for daily and weekly prizes in addition to the grand prize.

The condominium comes equipped with the full BTC package of Wifi internet, landline telephone and the company’s newest service, not yet available in Nassau, FLOW TV.

The other finalists were Anissa Poitier, Nelson Burrows Jr and Bernadette Murphy.

She is a woman of considerable wealth. She should now put the property up for sale and donate the entire sale proceeds to various recognized charities.

That would be very news worthy. It may go some way to show that the "all for me Baby" attitude is changing.

Comrade wealth shouldn't has nothing do with a fair and square win - but even with your obvious form higher intelligence you seems has this psychological problem with Comrade Mrs. Tiger enjoying her condo win?

On the contrary. It is a prerequisite if you have money you should NEVER accept a raffle win.

Sorry, that is just how rich people are supposed to behave.

After all, when you have received so much from a country you give back. It is considered crude to do otherwise

Congratulations Comrade Mrs.Tiger: You've won the Condo Prize in da Raffle......and here's Economist's list of suggested people/organizations you should consider donating your new $280,000 condo to? In da meantime, please do not move-in okay.
Like what if Husband Tiger is one those matrimonial cheapskates and has her on like restricted weekly budget?
But I guess under your rules a Raffle Winner should have undergoes a financial means test?

Outside of restrictions on family members of employees that usually accompany these contests anybody can play, so anybody can win. But I never understood the principle behind this contest . Imagine you were a young professional working hard to support your family and you'd just signed the deal to commit yourself to a 400,000 mortgage on an exclusive property where you assumed that you'd paid the price to somewhat guarantee yourself of the quality of neighbours. Two minutes after you'd signed yourself to 20 years of slavery to the bank, Island Luck announces that they're raffling the condo next door to you.

I dunno...if you have an exclusive property, or you want to market yourself as an exclusive property, it seems counterintuitive. I'd be concerned about what else they decide to raffle at their other developments.

And no, I am not say that the amount of money you have says whether you have good character or bad character or exhibit good behavior or bad behavior, look at the Nygard and Bacon saga for example. Just saying this was a strange concept. I wonder what the owners' association thought of it.

She might want to consider donating the proceeds of the condo sale to the former Cole Thompson Pharmacy or City Markets employees.

A true Christian would do that. Let's see what happens!!!

The pension fund for the poor City Market employees who were screwed out of their monies with dubious balance sheet moves and a crummy building.

Totally do NOT buy into the concept that this was won 'fair and square'. This was rigged to the max, political payback to benefit Tiger and his crew.

Picture reminds me of the drug lords in Mexico "helping" their community.

The people of this country will one day Rue the Day that they elected Christie and he screwed them with GAMBLING. Knowing that the majority of people voted no. Web shops will destroy this country and its people in the long run. And maybe in the short run too.

Do not worry she is a Finlayson, she will squander and run that condo into the ground in no time. And I love the fact that Tiger is a Knight, a knight of running business into the ground. I guess when everything is GIVEN to you, you just do not appreciate what you have.

Joke's on us. Sebas bought the City Market in Palmdale and is restoring it for rental. Who did he buy it from? There should be a lien on that property from the pension fund litigation. By a combination of 'luck' and a 70 year old woman texting everyday, Finlayson has gotten his hands on almost $300,000 worth of real estate that does not have a lien on it. The poor people who played never had a chance and don't have the money to investigate. In this the government played a part since it is the major shareholder in BTC which helped in this massive scam.

Also, rumour has it that their daughter -in-law works to BTC
