Police investigate crash that left one dead, five in hospital

POLICE are investigating an early morning three-car traffic collision that left one man dead and five other people in hospital on Sunday.

The accident happened shortly after midnight on Gladstone Road.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Stephen Dean said police are still unsure of the circumstances surrounding the collision and are interviewing witnesses and survivors.

The six victims were taken to hospital but one man died of his injuries early on Tuesday morning.

Police have not released the identity of the victim but The Tribune understands he is Kenneth Williams Jr, the driver of one of the vehicles.

This accident happened Sunday night & Monday afternoon afternoon when I got home from work i was told that my neighbor son died not Tuesday. I can't believe these people are hiding info from police regarding this and so many involved.

Hmm...there's not much difference between what you said and what's written here, the story just isn't worded very well. While the persons in the car may give info on what they perceived happened, the best info the police could get would come from an independent person who saw the accident, that's all they're saying. It seems like a standard request.

It's sad that so many people are dying. Minister of Transport needs to pick this up as she promised. Too many people speeding, too many people buying licenses because they need a car in the absence of reliable safe public transport.
