THE Ghetto News Network (GNN) has confirmed that Archdeacon I Ranfurly Brown has been stripped of his title Archdeacon because he did not apologise to Prime Minister Perry Gladstone Christie.

Brown took exception to the disrespect by Christie shown at the funeral of Bismark Coakley by burdening the congregation with almost an hour speech, running on with his usual nothingness.

Brown was annoyed and showed his displeasure in the church’s bulletin.

It is alleged that Archbishop Laish Boyd insisted that Brown apologise, but Brown being a man, did not.

It is sad that Boyd allowed the pressures of politics to allow him to run his position to please politicians.  He has now lost the respect of the Bahamas and indeed the world by being a plain old “bootlicker!’

He compromised himself, the Anglican Church and his family. He may not know it, but he made history.

It goes to show that the positions in the Anglican Church are politically motivated. I am sure not all Anglicans agree with Boyd, but we would never know what was promised to him to cause him to behave like that.

Finally, I Ranfurly Brown was always plain speaking, so it is not unusual that he stood his ground.

“Let us not pray to be sheltered from danger but to be fearless when facing them.”

We salute Brown as being a real man and not one who genuflects to man.
