Right to an opinion

EDITOR, The Tribune.

I would like to suggest to Prime Minister Perry Christie that if anyone in his Government is going to speak to the press, presumably on his behalf, that they be required to attend a Dale Carnegie course so that they can learn to speak to and of people with kindness and respect.

I refer to the two instances last week, first by Mr Shane Gibson and his comment about “greedy doctors” and second by Mr Leslie Miller who told Mr Komolafe (BIA) that he should “go back to Nigeria where he came from”.

I was born in The Bahamas and I fully respect Mr Komolafe’s views. Where, I might ask, would Mr Miller suggest that I go?

We all have a right to an opinion, whatever our political persuasion may be.

The PLP are uncouth sub-human animals with no sense of altruism, fair play, patriotism, personal integrity or respect for the truth. They are incapable of anything better than the savagery that they demonstrate. Enlightenment, brains and altruism have passed them by, and they will be consigned to the dustbin of history as creating a dark period in the history of the Bahamas.

Ralph Waldo Emerson — 'Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted.'

Sadly our opinion is not worthy or wanted in their minds, they only think they are being persecuted every time they are contradicted.

It is all about EGO... eg... http://www.thebahamasweekly.com/publi...">http://www.thebahamasweekly.com/publi...

Buddy if this government had it's way they would lock you up for voicing your opinion. I would bet money that they have snooped on the posters of this site and know exactly who we are. Perry's dream is to be a DICTATOR, sadly for him at this time he is just a DICK!
