Creating an atmosphere where individuals feel as though they are standing face-to-face with God is the goal of the upcoming Acoustic Worship event.

Hosted by the Potential Church and KBII Communications, the event will feature non-stop praise and worship that will not be enhanced by electronics.

According to organisers, the experience will feature worship leaders, artists and groups such as A’Leithia Sweeting, Monique Terez, Anthony Munnings, Najie Dun, Averia Rolle, Fuel Nation, Jonathan Farrington and Grace Generation, Sweet Fragrance and the Potential Church Worship Team.

Acoustic Worship will be held at Potential Church on July 29 beginning 7pm. “Each artist/group has their own unique style so we look forward to them coming together to release a natural authentic sound to the King,” said Katherine Beneby, one of the organisers.

Ms Beneby also told Tribune Religion that they hope to create an atmosphere that is so intimate that those in attendance will be inspired to bear it all to God during the worship experience. “The purpose of this event is to create an atmosphere for individuals to soak in God’s presence. We are living in a time where people are losing hope or may just need a refresher. This experience will serve as an outlet to lay it all down and worship the Lord in the splendour of His holiness,” she said.

Ms Beneby said the goal is to always seek the lost at all cost and win souls for God.

“It is our hope that attendees leave encouraged and fuelled to continue walking with Jesus,” she said. “People should come out to this event if they just want to take a step back, chill and commune with Jesus. The environment will be very laid back and welcoming.”
