Freeport driver, 37, dies and four are hurt after accident involving a limousine

A 37-year-old man from Pioneer's Loop, Freeport, died in a traffic accident on Saturday afternoon, Grand Bahama police have reported.

Police report that around 3pm, a 1999 white Lincoln Limousine and a green 2004 Toyota Corolla were travelling on Coral Road near the junction of Nansen Avenue when the accident occurred.

The Tribune understands the victim is Gregory Cartwright, the driver of the Toyota, who received serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel.

Four passengers in the Lincoln Limousine also received injuries and were taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital by EMS personnel for further medical attention.

Police are investigating.
