South Andros Church of God of Prophecy celebrates 36th Biennial District Convention

THE South Andros district of the Church of God of Prophecy last weekend celebrated its 36th Biennial District Convention.

District Overseer Minister Gersham A Pratt led 13 New Providence delegates to Kemp’s Bay.

The delegation was headed by the church’s national overseer, Bishop Franklin Ferguson and his wife Minister Rovena Ferguson.

The convention took place in the church building in Kemp’s Bay, which was recently refurbished, with cement plaster now covering the outside wooden walls. Associate Pastor Joshua Rolle preached the opening message last Friday night, and there were two had presentations and teachings on the Children and Youth Ministries and the Sunday School, exhortation around the benefits of small ministries, preaching on Saturday night.

Bishop Ferguson preached the closing message on Sunday morning under the convention theme, “A Faithful Servant”. One of the highlights of the convention was a visit to South Andros’ Holy Land Experience, a 20-acre theme park depicting sights found in Scripture.
