A MAN was fatally wounded after being shot outside a sports bar in Pinewood Gardens early on Saturday and police are hunting for the two suspects responsible.
Shortly after midnight, police report that a man standing outside a sporting lounge on Sequoia Street talking with friends was approached by two men with handguns who shot him before fleeing on foot.
The victim was rushed to hospital where he later succumbed. He is the 26th person to be murdered in the Bahamas in 2016 according to The Tribune's records.
Police have also launched an island-wide search for a man suspected of being responsible for an armed robbery of a fast food restaurant in Nassau around 6am on Saturday.
The man was reported to have a handgun when he entered the restaurant on Prince Charles Drive and demanded cash. He made off with an undetermined amount of cash.
