Church of God Bahamas celebrating 95th annual national convention

HISTORICALLY, the oldest Pentecostal movement in the Bahamas, the Church of God Bahamas is celebrating its 95th annual national convention under the theme “We Are One In: Purpose, Promise, Potential”.

The church’s Vision Awards Banquet will be on Saturday, March 26, at which faithful and dedicated workers in the ministry will be honoured.

Key issues that are being addressed during the convention include the CLICO matter, crime, immigration, the economy, unemployment, National Health Insurance, the pending referendum, same sex marriage, the United States movement towards Cuba, church growth, the influence and impact of accelerated technological advancement on the Bahamas, and many other topics. Speakers include: Apostle J Rodney Roberts of Five Porches of Deliverance Ministry; Bishop Elvis Medina, national overseer in the Dominican Republic; Bishop Dennis McGuire, former general overseer of the Church of God International, Cleveland, Tennessee; Evangelist Carnetta Ferguson of the Church of God of Prophecy, and Bishop Ishmael Charles, Caribbean field director.

National Overseer for the Bahamas Administrative Bishop Moses A Johnson delivered the opening charge last Sunday.
