POLICE seized two illegal firearms and took three men into custody in separate incidents over a 48-hour period.
In the first incident, shortly after 7pm on Tuesday, officers from the Mobile Division acting on intelligence conducted a search of a home located at Twin Court, Ridgeland Park, where they uncovered a sawed off shotgun. Three men were subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
In the second incident, shortly after 1pm on Wednesday, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit acting on information uncovered a .40 pistol with five rounds of ammunition on Thompson Lane.
No one was taken into custody for this discovery.
