'Yes' march staged in Grand Bahama

Residents in Grand Bahama participated in a “Yes” march on Saturday morning in support of the four bills on gender equality which will be voted on in the upcoming referendum.

The group marched from the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce along the Mall Drive to the Harold De-Gregory Government Complex, where a mini rally was held.

Tourism Minister Obie Wilchcombe, Minister for Grand Bahama Dr Michael Darville, former Ambassador Maurice Moore of the FNM, and GB Human Rights activist Joseph Darville led the march holding “Yes” and “Equality Rights” banners.

Comrades it is the "lawyers and judges" who think we a tiny nation of islands even need a constitution for a population of under 360,000 souls. Let the people rid ourselves legal and courts worker generator paper nuisance.
Comrades instead of spending millions dollars of state funds on useless referendums on amendments to the constitution - let our legislators pass a law for the "decriminalization of drug addictions."
Comrades the likes Tourism Minister Obie Wilchcombe, Minister for Grand Bahama Dr Michael Darville, former Ambassador Maurice Moore of the FNM, and GB Human Rights activist Joseph Darville, should not be provided with state funds to be marching up and down Freeport while holding “Yes” and “Equality Rights” banners.

Comrade tis strange this group never marched against Freeport's out pay checkers or closing they businesses merchants? I challenge the Tribune to just publish only one other picture, where this group ever collectively - did march for anything female? When was the last time this constitution thing, ever worked to create opportunities for anyone but the lawyers and judges?

Comrades, a "true" Republic of Bahamaland can only become a reality, once the politicians discover they can no longer bribe the peoples “Yes” votes with state moneys.
Comrades you have the right to tell government to, “Go to Hell,” and take that piece of paper and it’s claimed wisest of all amendments with you.
Will the amendments now invite the government to poke they noses to meddle in how man’s and woman’s does decides be sexed-up? We bedrooms private businesses, even to be sexed-up with a member same sex, is we the peoples decision to make, not the politicians?
It is the government, who by inserting the word “sexing” in the definition of the expression ‘discriminatory” so as to constitutionally confuse the referendum voters. There mere mentioning of “sexing” will open the floodgates for politicians, lawyers, judges, jurors and legal scholars to be arguing the constitutionality of “sexing” and with whom is it permissible?
Comrades the more your elected government of the day, sinks the nation’s finances deeper into debt, the more dangerous and broke a desperate government will be forced into abusing the constitution, including twisting and tweaking it for their own political electioneering advantages.
We the Comrades, it is dangerous to pledge government with even more power over the people.
Whether same-sexing marriage is a good idea, should be of no concern to MP’s, Senators and Judges.
Isn’t the MP’s Senators, Lawyers & some Judges, not already instructing voters on the rules book of “sexing?"
Why not apply thew same energies, skills, funds and influences to lobby for the "decriminalization of drug addictions?
Why jail persons with drug addictions? Amen!
