A MAN awaiting trial for armed robbery will not have his case transferred to the Supreme Court until next month.

Shavano Williams, 21, was due to appear before Chief Magistrate Joyanne Ferguson-Pratt yesterday to receive a voluntary bill of indictment for the higher court.

However, the documents to proceed with his case were not ready, an adjournment was requested, and December 5 was set as the date for the hearing. The request was granted.

Williams faces multiple counts of armed robbery in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred between July 28 and August 8.

It is alleged that on July 28, Williams robbed a man of his Chevy Trailblazer vehicle, $10 cash and a cellphone.

On August 5, it is alleged that Williams robbed a woman of her cellphone, an iPod music device and her backpack.

It is further alleged that on August 8, Williams broke into a home in the Blue Hill Road area and robbed its owners of personal belongings.

Williams will not be allowed to enter a plea to the allegations until he is formally charged before a Supreme Court judge.
