POLICE in Cat Island have arrested a man and a woman following separate marijuana seizures on Thursday.
According to reports, shortly before 2pm, officers on routine patrol in Smiths Bay, Cat Island, saw a man with a bag in his hand acting suspiciously. The officers conducted a search of the bag and found one and a half pounds of marijuana. The male was arrested and taken into custody.
Shortly before 3pm, officers conducted a search of a truck driven by a woman in New Bight and uncovered four pounds of marijuana. She was also arrested and taken into custody.
Officers from the Southwestern Division in New Providence, acting on intelligence, discovered a quantity of marijuana in area in front of a business establishment on Carmichael Road around 10am on Wednesday. No arrest was made.
