A SUSPECT wanted by police in connection with the attempted murder of a police sergeant had been arrested.
Tahnarze Ferguson, also known as “Dirty” or “Nas”, was wanted in connection with an incident at Odle Corner on Monday, September 5.
Police said that officers from the firearms and investigations unit went to an area off Farrington Road, at about 6pm last night, where they arrested the wanted suspect and took him into custody.
In a separate incident, police in Long Island took four New Providence men into custody following the seizure of two illegal firearms - one an AK-47 assault rifle.
Officers found the weapons when executing a search warrant on a South Long Island home. The second gun was a 9mm handgun, and a total of more than $190,000 in cash was also discovered.
