Under the theme “Moulded By Grace”, members of the Christian dance school Dancing With Grace (DWG) will host their first ever concert this Friday at the New Life Restoration Ministries.

The liturgical showcase will kick off at 7.30pm with various selections that will display each student’s progress throughout the school year.

The five students, ranging in age from five to 12, will also invite three dance groups to share the stage with them.

“We will show what all of our dancers have learned since joining the dance school. It shows parents and loved ones the potential that their child has. We are also using this event to show our dancers how proud we are of them and how much we appreciate them for staying dedicated to Dancing With Grace,” said Branique Bain, DWG founder.

Hosting the event is a great accomplishment for Ms Bain. After hosting sessions with the girls every Saturday, she saw such growth in the youngsters that she wanted to share it with the world.

“I just know that if their parents see what I am seeing week after week, they would be more than proud of them. We sometimes get so consumed by life that we forget to make time for our little ones. Our next generation needs to know that we support them, even at a young age,” she said.

“It is our hope that the parents that attend leave there with a commitment to become more engaged in their child’s life after seeing the potential, and for each child to leave knowing how great they are; leave knowing that they matter.”

She believes every person is shaped into the individual they are by God.

“It’s indeed the grace of God that moulds them into the person God predestined them to be,” she said.

“I am looking forward to the look on each student’s face after seeing how well they have done and how proud we are of them. This means so much to me because I know how hard they have worked. So seeing that moment where the girls are happy and feeling accomplished means the most to me,” said Ms Bain.
