Three of the Bahamas junior tennis players won their matches on Wednesday and are all in the quarterfinal rounds of the SVGTA NLA Junior ITF Tournament in St Vincent & the Grenadines.
Donte Armbrister, the Bahamas’ No. 1 in the player in the boys’ 16 and 18 divisions, defeated the No. 3 seed in the tournament, Milledge Cossu of the USA, in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.
Sydney Clarke, the Bahamas’ No. 1 player in the girls’ 16 division, defeated Kimberly Sabga also in straight sets 6-0, 6-1.
Jacobi Bain, another top junior player, defeated Tomas Del Olmo of the US Virgin Islands in three sets 3-6, 6-1, 6-3.
All three players will play their quarterfinals today.
