JUNIOR TENNIS

PLAYERS IN

TRINIDAD

Donte Armbrister, Afrika Smith and Jacobi Bain continue their participation on the ITF Junior circuit in Trinidad and Tobago this week in both the singles and doubles events. Sydney Clarke will participate in the doubles event.

Armbrister won on Monday in a three-set match 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 against Joshua Arnold of Trinidad & Tobago. Smith won her singles match today in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 against Yin Lee Assang of Trinidad and Tobago.

Jacobi Bain plays tomorrow in his singles match.

CHAMPION

BOXING

SHOW

CHAMPION Amateur Boxing Club will present the “The Will to Win” 24th Annual L Garth Wright Sr Golden Glove Amateur Boxing Tournament 7pm September 16 at the Wulff Road Boxing Square.

The event will feature for the first time in Bahamian history a father and son on the same amateur boxing event card.

Also on the card will be Levardo Cornish versus Alistair Deane; Elroy Rolle vs Odell Armbrister and Lennox Boyce, the 2020 Olympic hopeful. Six other matches will showcase the Strikers Boxing Club, Meacher Major Pain Boxing Club, the Lion Heart Boxing Club and Champion Amateur Boxing Club.

All amateur boxers and boxing clubs are invited to participate.

Admission for adults is $5 and children under 17 years will be charged $3.

Food and soft drinks will be on sale.
