Why The Popeye’s Bowl? Do we make any money from it?
Based on the past years this event - fan fared by the then PLP Government - was an enormous economic impetus to the economy. But truth don’t lie, when the TV cameras swung across The Thomas Robertson Stadium all you saw were hundreds of empty seats. The east side of the stadium was totally empty!
This is a Ministry of Sports and Culture event - can the Minister make public the past financial report and event analysis which would have determined it was good business sense to commit again to this event?
The FNM have cancelled all kinds of things since May 10, 20l7 - many can’t understand why not this non-performing expensive event?
Minister - shows us the reasoning why we should financially support this obvious failing event.
