THE BAHAMAS Association of Athletic Associations will celebrate their 65th anniversary this weekend.
The BAAA will worship at Holy Cross Anglican Church, Highbury Park, at 9am on Sunday. A luncheon will follow at the British Colonial Hilton Hilton at 1pm. Tickets are priced at $35 per person.
The BAAA is inviting all former executives, members, athletes, parents and supporters to come out and participate in both events.
THIS weekend, the Bahamas Rugby will be hosting teams from the Charlotte, North Carolina in Nassau and Freeport, Grand Bahama.
On Saturday at the Winton Rugby Pitch at 11am, the Cracked Conchs will take on the Charlotte Legends over 35s veterans rugby.
At 12:30pm, the Nassau Renegades will face the Charlotte Barbarians and, at 2pm, the Nassau Ladies will tangle with the Charlotte Ladies.
On Sunday in Grand Bahama, the Freeport Rugby Club will play the Charlotte Barbarians at 11am and the Bahamas Ladies will go up against the Charlotte Ladies at 12:30pm.
The BRU is hosting the games early as the teams from Charlotte are coming on a cruise ship and they will have to be back on board by 4:30pm.
