Setting an example

EDITOR, The Tribune.

WHAT Island Country with seven letters beginning with “B” has a Standard & Poor’s rating as A Plus. Give up? It is Bermuda which, it has been said, is “a leading jurisdiction for re-insurance, capital markets”, etc.

Also to quote a local Senior Lawyer the attraction “is that it has been able to find the right balance in combining robust regulatory oversight with speed and efficiency”.

Apparently Bermuda has been given “a clean bill of health by the OECD” as well as being able to trade on an equal footing with all other countries, and with no Chinese affiliation.

Compare all of this with The Bahamas and weep.
