FIFTH grade students at St Andrew’s International School hosted an exhibit yesterday under the theme, “Sharing the Planet”.

The students spent the past nine weeks researching, writing, co-operating and rehearsing for the exhibit culminating with the opening of the event Monday night, the school’s Head of Primary Jessica Waugh said.

She added that students tailored their projects to focus on local issues such as hunger, poverty, coral reef destruction, overfishing and ocean pollution.

“Each child took action in the local community to help alleviate the problem they were studying,” Ms Waugh also said. “Students raised awareness, donated their time and resources, held food and book drives, hosted bake sales, special events and cleaned up our local coastline.”
