Bahamas Ferries extends freight services to Abaco

Bahamas Ferries has extended its freight services to Marsh Harbour, Abaco, with the addition of its latest vessel, the M/V Inagua Spray.

The Inagua Spray, a 246.5-foot roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) vessel, is capable of shipping 18 40-foot containers and two 20-foot containers, or 40 20-foot containers. The vessel ships vehicles, dry and refrigerated containers, break-bulk freight, heavy equipment and oversized project cargo.

To meet customers' demands, the vessel will provide direct service into Marsh Harbour. As the largest cargo vessel in Bahamas Ferries' fleet, the Inagua Spray will also provide transshipments between Freeport and Abaco.

It sails twice weekly to Freeport on Sundays and Wednesdays, and once a week to Marsh Harbour on Mondays. The Inagua Spray is also available for domestic and international charter services between South Florida and the Bahamas.

With this addition of the Inagua Spray to its fleet, Bahamas Ferries now operates seven vessels: M/V Bo Hengy II; M/V Bo Hengy III; M/V Eastwind; M/V Inagua Spray; M/V Seawind; M/V Sealink; and M/V Eleuthera Express.

Bahamas Ferries provides one-way and round-trip travel services to Abaco, Andros, Eleuthera, Exuma, Grand Bahama, Long Island and New Providence. It also offers freight and charter services, harbour cruises, day-away excursions to Harbour Island, and provides students of all ages with an environmental, cultural and historical prospective of the Family Islands through its educational programme.
