National Amateur Golf Championships May 17-20

DEVAUGHN Robinson, Inecia Rolle, John Hall and Sheridan Robinson are expected to defend their titles when the Bahamas Golf Federation (BGF) holds its annual National Amateur Championships May 17-20 at the Lyford Cay, Ocean Club, Albany and Baha amaar Courses respectively, according to federation president Glenn Archer.

In making the announcement, Archer said he was pleased to welcome Royal Fidelity Bank as the title sponsor this year and looks forward to a long lasting relationship with the bank.

Mike Anderson, Royal Fidelity’s president, said that the bank was happy to partner with the BGF to sponsor this national event and help grow the game of golf in the Bahamas.

The male and female player with the lowest gross score will be declared the national amateur champion. Robinson and Rolle are the defending male and female national champions.

Additionally, they will automatically qualify for a spot on the team to represent the Bahamas at the 61st Caribbean Amateur Golf Championship to be held in the Dominican Republic at the end of July.
