BRAJAXBA

FUN DAY

THE Brajaxba Tennis is scheduled to host it’=s annual Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 20 at the Gym Tennis Club in Wonton Meadows. All tennis players are invited to out and support the event by playing in the tournament, which will feature players from 5-year-old to 60-plus. 

Proceeds from the tournament will go towards Brajaxba team travel and education programme. 

The tournament categories are red balls, orange balls, green dot balls and yellow balls for singles and doubles. “We cater to all skill level,” said Bradley Bain, the director and head coach of Brajaxba.

BASKETBALL

BSC FINALS

THE Baptist Sports Council had to postpone the completion of the 2017 Basketball Classic from Monday to Wednesday night at AF Adderley Gymnasium.

While the Eagles Nest wrapped up the 15-and-under title on Saturday with a 2-1 decision over Macedonia Baptist, Eagles Nest have taken a 1-0 lead in both the 19-and-under and men’s championship series.

The Eagles Nest lead Independence Church of God 1-0 after they played game one on Saturday and they hold a 1-0 lead over Macedonia in their men’s series after game one was also played on Saturday.

GOLF

BGA’S NATIONAL

CHAMPIONSHIPS

THE Bahamas Golf Federation is slated to hold its National Amateur Championships this weekend at various sites. Sponsored by Royal Fidelity, the championships will begin on Wednesday at 8:30am and Thursday at noon at the Ocean Club Golf Club on Paradise Island and continue on Friday at Albany at 7:30am and wrap up on Saturday at 9am at Baha Mar.

Competition will be held in the men – regular (34-and-under), men – mid amateuyr (35-39)m=, men – senior (50-59), men – super senior (60-plus), ladies regular (29-and-under), ladies (30-49) and ladies (50-plus).
