UNDER the theme "Gimme Dat Ole Time Region", Bahamian singer Aldo Stubbs will host his third annual concert for the religious community at the Southland Church of God, Soldier Road.

Under the umbrella of 'The Legacy Continues' brand, the concert will be held this Sunday, starting at 7pm.

Admission is free, however, guests are asked to contribute a love offering.

Aldo is the son of Blanche Stubbs, a retired nurse, and one of the Bahamas' music legends, the late Leon Stubbs, Sr.

Leon Stubbs was a well-known singer and songwriter, and the former leader of one of the oldest gospel groups in the Bahamas, the Honourable Region Bells.

Aldo said his work as writer, rapper and producer of numerous songs has touched on topics such as worship and love.

He said he is also inspired by the strong sense of rhythm and harmony produced by his father's group and which cultivated a unique style of a cappella that is known today as "rhyming spirituals."

His father's love and passion for music afforded the family opportunities to travel far and wide spreading the Good News.

Also said he is thankful to God for giving him the vision to host this concert for the third time.

"I do have my challenges every year, but God has begun a great work inside of me. He always comes through by reminding me I'm victorious and can overcome through His strengthening me. I am asking the community to come out and support this great event where great Bahamian artists will be coming together to praise one God," he said.

Highlights of the evening will include a comedy segment by Jaquay "The Bubbler" Adderley and performances by Mother Rachel Mackey, Minister Terry Walters, Aldo and Adrian Stubbs, The BBC Singers, The Stubbs' Quartet, The Dynamics Features, The Rahming Brothers, The Gospel Flashlights, Bishop Lawrence Rolle, The Honourable Region Bells, Sharon Chase and the Minnie Street Praise Team, Remnant Academy School Choir and EP Roberts Primary School under the leadership of Rashad Cunningham.

The master of ceremonies will be Minister Vaughn Miller, assisted by Minister Terry Walters.
