Thanks to outgoing Commissioner Greenslade

EDITOR, The Tribune.

The public will be remiss, not to thank Commissioner Ellison Greenslade, the outgoing Commissioner of The Royal Bahamas Police Force.

In his time certainly the physical upgrading of Police equipment, training and the scholarship of the senior Officers, has to be a credit to the Commissioner. He was an ever respectful Commissioner to the ranks.

There are some who will critically say that he was the boss and there were 600+murders – crime of the young persons became an issue; yes, however you think or anyone else may think, that one man in the chair of Commissioner can change those issues, which are squarely in the hands of the parents and guardians – then I say they are living in a Mary Poppins world.

History repeats - when Rt. Hon. Hubert Ingraham became Prime Minister, the Commissioner was packed off to the Court of St. James. When Dr. Hon. Hubert Minnis became Prime Minister it happens again.

Critics of the politicos are convinced that there was a personal clash, between the inherited Commissioner and the incoming Minister. Anyway he and Doc have their choice. Let us see whether anything improves, because we have to admit we cannot go further deeper into the quagmire. One hopes that the FNM government will allow their Commissioner to be the Commissioner, and not interfere in operational and management issues. The Minister is the Minister, Sir, stop there!

Thanks Commissioner Ellison Greenslade... we are proud of this Bahamian son.

Mr: Greenslade is a great man. The FNM Government asked him to go, He has taken what is due to him and walked away, I wish him God's speed.

The Commissioner serves a just God Those who believe they are all powerful will one day be brought low. They did not show Mr: Greenslade the respect he deserved,
