Sandals showcases Bahamas to international media visitors

SANDALS yesterday said its two Bahamian properties have attracted more than 50 international media outlets in 2017, with the pace of visits increasing since the September 2017 hurricanes.

Lazar Delorenzo Charlton, public relations manager at Sandals Royal Bahamian, said: "As we gear up for our busy winter season, we've been delighted to host a number of European and American media outlets to showcase our beautiful resorts, both here in Nassau and in Exuma.

"Despite the recent passing of two mega storms, which sadly devastated several of our other islands in the region, our new and returning guests have kept us busy here. We're also pleased with the increased media exposure to promote the Sandals Foundation, the charitable arm of our company, which is continuing to assist our communities in the Bahamas affected by the storms."

Gary Williams, the resort's general manager, added: "It's always exciting for us to have these outlets from all over visit, interact with our team members and guests, and then for them to showcase what we have to offer in the Bahamas.

"From all of the amenities here at the resort to the tours we offer through Island Routes, which allow for direct experience of the Bahamian attractions and culture, we are happy to show that not only are our resorts as beautiful as ever, but so are our islands and our people, and the Bahamas is open for business."
