A Royal Bahamas Defence Force vessel is tentatively scheduled to leave for Dominica with a cargo of relief supplies on Thursday afternoon.

The Bahamas Girls Guide Association, the Bahamas Red Cross and the Dominican-Bahamian Association have provided mostly food and clothing supplies that are being shipped to the island, National Emergency Management Agency head Captain Stephen Russell said yesterday.

The relief effort comes after Hurricane Maria devastated the island nation last month.
