Solomon's Super Centre celebrates 27th anniversary with Health Fair

Solomon's Super Centre is gearing up to celebrate its 27th year in business with a customer-focused health fair and anniversary event. This Saturday, October 28, the retail grocery outlet will mark nearly three decades in business by offering customers free screenings, information sessions and in store activities all focused on health and wellness.

Experts including a family medical doctor, a healthy lifestyle coach, a chiropractor and a massage therapist will engage shoppers and offer helpful tips for living well. Free screenings for glucose, blood pressure and cholesterol checks as well as flu shoots and HPV vaccinations will begin at 10am.

Event organiser and Solomon's Brand Manager Monalisa Sweeting said in addition to the health screenings, product sampling and in-store anniversary savings, the team has partnered with key vendors to make Saturday's event a success.

This is the fifth year that the retailer has hosted a health fair during its anniversary celebrations. The event fits into parent company AML Foods Limited's core focus on providing opportunities to engage shoppers and educate the community on healthy living.

"For this year's health fair, we wanted to expand our outreach by tapping in to every aspect of health and wellness from nutrition to physical fitness, personal self care, testing and screening," Ms Sweeting explained.

"We are pleased to present our health sessions in partnership with the Cancer Society of the Bahamas, Club One Fitness, Healthy Lifestyle Coach Sha King, Chiropractor Dr. Kelly Kramp as well as the team from Susan G. Komen's Race For the Cure. We anticipate that shoppers will come out and take full advantage of the information and demonstrations to improve their overall health and well-being."

The four-hour event will run from 10am -2pm at Solomon's Super Centre on Old Trail Road.
