CITY BOWLING LEAGUE

The City Bowling League kicked off its 2017-18 season Monday night with some outstanding scores posted.

The top scorer was Ricardo Rolle of E&U Watercoolers with a 243 high game and an outstanding 610 high three game set.

The runner-up MVP was Ritchie Pyfrom of Giga Tech with a respectable 590 set. Ken Braithwaite of Telco Enterprises downed the pins for the second high game of 219.

The ladies’ MVP was Joanne Woodside of Bahamasair Flyers with a 203 second high game and an impressive 561 high three set. Marina McClain of Bahamasair Flyers followed with a 205 high game and a 541 second high set.

The team scores for the evening were as follows:

CDM Knights 3, Ten Back Strikers 0; Checkers Café 3, E&U Watercoolers 0; Bahamasair Flyers 2, Island Game Strokers 1; TK Falcons 2, The Avengers 1; Giga Tech 2, NUA Crusaders 1; Carib Construction 2, Telco Enterprises 1; BEC Shockers 2, Asure Pocket Pleasers 1; City Leaguers 2, Brooklyn Triple Strikers 1.

NBA DARTS AGM

THE annual general meeting of the Nassau Darts Association is all set for tonight at Tailgaters. The registration of teams will begin at 7:30pm and the AGM starts 8pm.

BCF CHESS CLASSIC

THE Bahamas Chess Federation is scheduled to hold its Chess Classic 2017 September 21-24 at TG Glover Primary School. The top two players from the tournament will qualify for the Bahamas National Championships. The first place finisher will also receive $300, while second place will get $200 and third place $100.

Registration starts at 10am September 23 and the first round will begin at 10:30am.
