Hacker pilots

EDITOR, The Tribune.

CIVIL Aviation has to be joking….CCTV around General Aviation is not going to prove anything.

The Control Tower, Captain Beneby controls movement of every aircraft - the pilot has to register a flight plan - I believe that includes the names of the passengers. Unless the Controllers are totally oblivious to the rules (probably) there is absolutely no reason why one “hacker flight” should occur at any time.

Planes carrying passengers surely must be asked to state licence - state the pilot’s licence (remember in the Andros case the pilot did not have commercial licence).

An immediate act should be that an officer of CAA should be posted at General Aviation and at the FBO’s/Charter locations and all movements (flights) require his inspection.

Captain Beneby, prosecute one and this problem is over… remove licences from pilots.

Pilots doing charter work have to immediately be re-possessed to ensure their licensing as a pilot is current, proper ID with clear distinction that he is licensed to carry passengers – a list of licensed charter carriers be posted on more than one location at General Aviation and the FBO’s/Charter locations.

No aircrafts should be taking off without the Control Tower having 100% surety that that flight is duly processed - licence etc…public be warned don’t be stupid your life is on the line, if not surely CAA could be liable?
