No to Oban

EDITOR, The Tribune.

RUMBLINGS of an OBAN-2…Version one-two-three-four.

You lied on us the first time no next time.

PLP wake up oppose-expose this OBAN thing stinks.

Have Oban Energy complied with any of the conditions of the first flawed HOA? Have they sent in their Financials? Have they completed the EIA.

Wake up PLP!

Mr Prime Minister the committee formed was to investigate the validity of the Heads of Agreement not re-negotiate.

Was in East End recently - they say no Oban even with the unemployment they want to breathe fresh air and stay living without what is obvious will come - horrific air pollution.

No to Oban Number: 1-2-3-4!

Agreed. Yet, we must understand the economic desperation many must feel in Grand Bahama, to be willing to invite such an ill-fated project that will cause many more cancers, and health related concerns as has been documented world wide with these oil refineries. The air pollution, the effects on the fragile terrestrial and marine ecosystems are really too much. These unarguable impacts are simply not worth the risk to life and health.. There must be a better way for our people. I fully believe that a revitalization and resurgence of the tourism economy would be the best path forward for Freeport. Tell Oban to find another country. Same with drilling for oil.
