THE Aliv Bucket and the University of the Bahamas Mingoes pulled off the New Providence Basketball Association’s double header played on Monday night at the AF Adderley Gymnasium.
In the men’s feature contest, the Mingoes, coming off their trip to Miami, Florida over the weekend for a series of collegiate games, shook off their jetlag to knock off the Caro Contractors Pirates 85-80.
And in the opener, the Aliv Bucket defeated the Basden Elevator Elite 113-104 in overtime.
The NPBA will be back in action tonight with a double header. In the opener at 7pm, the Sun Oil Rockets will take on the Leno Eagles Nest and the UB Mingoes will be back in action to face the Discount Distributors Rockets.
The league will then play a triple header on Friday before taking a break for the Christmas holiday. In the 7pm opener, Your Essential Store Giants will face the Basden Elevator Elite, followed by the Triple K Stampers against the Caro Contractors Resistance and in the feature contest, the Commonwealth Bank Giants will tangle with the UB Mingoes.
