THREE men were arraigned on murder charges yesterday for two separate killings.

Donnovan Rolle, 23, and Berkley Belfat, 22, are accused of killing Chamico Mackey, 34, on January 24.

Mackey was shot dead while on the porch of his home at Irish Spring Court.

In a separate arraignment, Travis Taylor, 21, was accused of killing Milsade Ulysses on January 20.

Taylor's attorney, Donna Major, told Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson Pratt her client was beaten while in police custody.

Her client, she said, insisted on being taken to the hospital but was denied for two days.

She said he sustained bruises to the right side of his ribs, the swelling of which was reduced by the time he was taken to the hospital.

All three men were not required to enter a plea and they had their matters adjourned until March 20 when a voluntary bill of indictment is expected to be served. The men were remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services in the interim.
