INTERNET sensation Handerea Rolle and two other men were charged in a Magistrate’s court yesterday with a single drug related charge stemming from the seizure of $1,700 worth of drugs from a house earlier this week.

Rolle, AKA “Miss Florida”, Ilano Noel and Kenneth Moncur stood before Deputy Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain charged with one count of possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply.

It is alleged that on the day in question, the three were found in possession of 1lb 13 ounces of marijuana with an estimated street value of $1,700.

According to reports, shortly after 11am on the day in question, officers from the Flying Squad, acting on information, conducted a search of a home on Smith’s Lane off Andros Avenue and recovered a large quantity of marijuana.

Three men and a woman who were present in the house were taken into custody.

Noel plead guilty to the charge and was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Rolle and Moncur pleaded not guilty to the charge and the matter was adjourned to February 27 for trial. Bail was denied and the pair was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services (BDCS) until that time.

They have a right to apply for bail in the Supreme Court.
