UNCLE LOU

ROAD RACE

THE St Augustine’s College Alumni Association has announced that the annual Uncle Lou Road Race is all set for Saturday, March 17. It’s a 10 kilometre run and fun walk that will start from Rawson Square.

The entry fee is $25 for adults and $15 for children under the age of 15.

The runners will travel from Rawson Square, south on Parliament Street, right on Shirley Street around Princess Street in front of Government House, right on Cumberland Street, onto Bay Street to the Sir Sidney Poitier Bridge.

They will travel over the bridge to Paradise Island, right on Paradise Island and over the old bridge, left on Bay Street, right on Village Road, left on Bernard Road and finish at St Augustine’s College.

The walkers will travel from Rawson Square on Bay Street, east to Village Road, south on Bernard Road and east to St Augustine’s College.

Pre-registration will be held on March 1 with forms available at The Sports Center’s Harbour Bay, Sandy Port or Mall at Marathon branches. Interested persons are also urged to contact 558-9582 or email TheSacAlumni@gmail.com for more information.

BASEBALL

MARIO FORD CAMP

THE annual Mario Ford Baseball Camp is scheduled to get underway on Saturday at Windsor Park on Wulff Road and West Street.

The event will begin at 10am and run until noon.

During the two-hour session of the camp that will continue every Saturday until May 19, the campers will get a chance to learn the fundamentals in hitting, fielding, pitching, catching and strength agility.

RUGBY

BRU ACTION

THE Bahamas Rugby Union is slated to continue its Heineken Cup with two games at the Winton rugby pitch on Saturday. At 2pm, the Buccaneers play Freeport and at 4pm, the Cuckoos face Baillou.
