DYNAMIC Youth in Action, a youth organisation, held a march yesterday to raise awareness about diversity and bullying.
The group marched from Carlton Francis Primary School, along East Street South, through the Golden Gates community and returned to the school.
“There’s a lot of bullying going on in the schools, you got kids being picked on for being poor, being fat, just not fitting in – it even happens on the workplace,” Sharon McKenzie, founder of the group, said when asked about the march yesterday.
She said the group, which she founded six years ago, is trying to bridge the gap between the community and Carlton Francis Primary School.
The group meets at the school every Saturday.
