DAIRY Queen (DQ) has expanded its presence in New Providence with the official opening of its fifth location in the Seagrapes Shopping Plaza on February 9.

The location, on Prince Charles Drive, became the fifth DQ location in New Providence, joining outlets in the Harbour Bay Shopping Plaza, Mall at Marathon, West Bay Shopping Centre and Southwest Plaza.

The 1,000 square foot DQ Treats restaurant seats 12 and features a fresh Bistro design concept that incorporates images from the brand's 77-year history.

The franchise has hired eight extra staff, and the Seagrapes Shopping Plaza location will be open seven days a week from 12 noon to 10pm.

"We are extremely excited to expand the DQ brand in New Providence and further our mission to create positive memories for all who touch DQ," said principal, Derek Osborne.

DQ, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in the Bahamas last year, is giving customers 25 per cent off cakes during the month of February at the Seagrapes Shopping Plaza location only.
